St. Pius X English School was started in 1963. It is affiliated to the Indian School Certificate, New Delhi. This school is managed by the Congregation of Teresian Carmelites. Which runs a lot of High Schools and Colleges all over India. Ever since its inception the school played an effective role in the sphere of education with unflinching loyalty to the noblest Christian ideals and sparing no pains to preserve the highest academic standards.
Upholding the spiritual commitment of the church the school seeks to build up children who will strive after excellence in every field of life & activity. The school by all means aims at the best formation and information. Yes, it wants to soar Higher & Higher still.
The school therefore works hard to develop the spiritual, moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic powers of its students so that they may be good citizens of tomorrow useful to their fellow men.
The School follows a course of studies prescribed by the council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. Leading to a 10- year terminal examination known as the ICSE Examination and thereafter to ISC Examination (Class XI and Class XII). This is recognized by the university of Kerala and also by other Universities. The academic year commences in May and ends in March. It consists of three terms. Besides monthly tests and Terminal Examination, a promotion examination is held at the end of March.
